Rebel of the Sands by Alwyn Hamilton review

Good morning readers!

Today i want to talk about Rebel of the Sands by Alwyn Hamilton. I first heard of this book on facebook. I was on facebook and a book related page i follow posted an excerpt of the first 2 chapters i believe before the book was released. The hype was real and I had to admit that after reading the excerpt i was going to read the books. When i read the excerpt my first impression was a middle eastern, western book. Like saloons and cowboys in the middle east. Now that's just the first impression, and those two things aren't found in my typical reading list. But i was drawn in by the blue eyed bandit. So the day my library got it, it was in my hands. As i was reading i was thinking, ok there's a little bit of magic in here, but i didn't think it was much. As i continued to read i realized there was a lot more to this book than middle eastern, western. I will say that i'm NOT going to tell you how because i think that's part of the magic of this book, not knowing what all this book has in store for you adds to the book i think.

I did not expect the info laid on me towards the end. Up until they got where they were going i was still thinking it was a desert, and a girl who just wanted to get out and go somewhere more prosperous. But i'm going to read the next book because once she laid out the info on what the story was REALLY about i was way more intrigued. I enjoyed this book but i think the next one will be better. The next one i think will have all the real adventure in it. The character's we meet at the end are all very interesting and i want to get to know them more.

Interesting book. If you have ever just wanted to escape where you are, or felt that being female didn't get you as many places as being male then you might relate to this book. This book hits on a few interesting points about being a young girl in a world ruled by men.

So if you are interested then check it out Here

Let me know what you think and if you liked it and if you want to see where the story goes!
