Here is a hobby i picked up last november because as a single mom i couldn't afford to buy a ton of christmas gifts! So i bought a ton of yarn (still cost me a lot) and made homemade gifts instead!
So this is what it looks like! Here's a couple of my friend's wearing their scarves I made them! As you can see I've done a ton since I started and it's actually really simple. Let me know what you think!! All you need is a loom knitting kit in round or rectangle and yarn. I used the rectangle for my scarves and round for my son's hat. There are tons of tutorials on youtube and you can also find them and patterns on pinterest. It's way easier than it seems it just takes time. I did regular and infinity scarves. It's cold and winter here so I used size 6 lion brand yarn so everything I made keeps you really warm. I have some close ups of the scarves so you can see the pattern I used. I'm a beginner these are all scarves I did without ever having done it before or being taught so I was really impressed with it and excited that it was so easy and didn't get messed up. I have been told by other loom knitters that I'm better at it than them and they've been doing it for years, BUT I truly think anyone can do it! It just takes hours of work. All but three of the scarves I've done were gifts. One was for me and I actually sold two. If you are interested in doing it leave a comment. If you want to buy one let me know as well! Happy knitting! -Bookish Mom
