HEY people!!!

OK as you all have probably figured out i LOVE me some Ginger Scott. Well after i finished her last book, i talked to Ginger online and she was a sweetheart and sent me this book because it's so important to her and she wanted me to read it.

Now let me start by saying this is a romance novel but it's also Max's story. I found that Avery's struggles as a mother- let alone one with autism, was right on the money. As a mother i related to Avery's need to put her son first and the fear of failing him. Mason is based off of Sam Hunt which is didn't discover until i finished the story but i really enjoyed learning that. Max is a triumph in this book, you see him not just as a kid with autism but as this kid who is gifted. Avery is a triumph, you don't just see her as a single mom of a kid with autism but as a mom willing to do anything for her child's well being and happiness. Mason is a triumph, he's not just a failed musician but someone who learned what real love is. 

I enjoyed this book very much and was moved by Ginger's writing of these characters. What starts out as an accidental boob grab in a bar- ends up being an epic, realistic love story of second chances. 

I'd recommend this book if you are a mother, or have someone you love with autism. i really emjoyed it. 

"Max is always telling me about gravity, and how it pulls two masses together. Gravity. That's what I'm feeling right now. I'm sure I'm flushed, and despite Dusty's being filled beyond fire code, I can't hear the crowd. I'm completely locked to Mason, his eyes squared to mine, and he's the only thing I see. Hey, readers!

Ginger Scott is a literary force to be reckoned with. At first I worried that I might not like this book of her's because I sincerely usually don't like books involving the music scene. But  she has done it again! This is the fourth book in her This is falling series and can be read as a standalone. Every single book in this series has touched my heart in some personal way. Let me explain, One book deals with depression and self doubt, one deals with MS and overcoming it, One deals with being a single parent, and one deals with losing a parent that you didn't get along with. I deal with depression, My dad has MS, I'm a single parent, and my mom was abusive my whole life and died of alcohol and drug use at 48 years old.

All of Ginger's books have touched me in a way that is remarkable for a writer. I've had plenty of writers make me laugh and cry , but to truly touch me with writing down the fears and pains I go through is something entirely different. Ginger has a true talent and this book is no different. She immerses you into her world and breathes life into every character. This book touches on exactly what love is and if you love someone sometimes you have to let them go. This book also as I mentioned before touches on family relationships and what its life to lose a family member you never saw eye to eye with and didn't understand.

If you haven't read anything by her yet and enjoy chick-lit, coming to age, romance novels I highly recommend her work. Any of it.

And although these are "female" books I do think a male audience with the right frame of mind would also enjoy these books.

You really get to see all her characters evolve in her writing. Nobody is unchanged by life and the fierceness of it. From the preppy girl to the tomboy, from the cheerleader to the loner, every character blossoms into more in her books and it's beautiful to see the metamorphosis of each character.

So in short Ginger scott is awesome and I will continue reading her work and more than likely fall in love many times with her characters.

Rogue wave by Jennifer Donnelly

HI, everyone!

Last night I finished rogue waves and wanted to tell you my thoughts. Firstly, I enjoyed it more than the first book in the series deep blue. Deep blue gave too much foreshadowing and it was easy to predict the ending. It also gave away several mysteries solved in rogue wave. But despite deep blue blowing some of the mysteries, this book was more action packed with more twists and turns than deep blue. It made me believe that Sera was already betrayed and that was the big "Oh snap" moment, when in fact you later see the real betrayal! This book was more intense and much more enjoyable to me personally. Several of my predictions of this book were true but I believe that's because she just foreshadowed way too much in deep blue. I really enjoyed the new characters and their relationships. Good book! If you read deep blue and aren't sure if you should read this one, just go ahead and read it and see if you enjoy it more than deep blue like I did. Blu and G are revealed in this book as well as who is behind the invasion. Keep reading and tell me what you think!

the wedding girl by Stacey Ballis review

HEY everyone!! I recieved wedding girl by Stacey Ballis as a goodreads win and as a good sport I'm going to review it here as well asgoodreads.com and amazon.com.

To start off the book is a chick-lit, romance, culinary  stand alone novel. It started off slow but built as it went on. I really enjoyed the characters and the main character Sophie is extra love able! She goes through fears, doubts, envy and more but at the end of the day she loves food. The best part is that she doesn't shame her body at all, she accepts her passion is food and therefore enjoys her body for what it is! I loved that about her. The book is also homosexual friendly as it has several lesbian characters but zero lesbian sex scenes- or any sex scenes for that matter. The characters are heartwarming and unique. The ending was pretty predictable but still adorable. The real charm of the book is the characters interactions with each other. Then at the back of the book you get recipes for several things made by the characters in the books which I loved and found charming and unique to Stacey's writing. This was her first novel I've read and I'm grateful to have won it because I will be reading more of her work for sure. If this sound up your alley definitely check it out! It's not yet released, but will be available May, 3rd, 2016. I was really super happy I got this win because it was my first goodreads win and not yet released so I feel kinda special since I got to read it early! Not to mention it's my first ever ARC not on my kindle! Mine is paperback and beautiful!

My current read is Rogue wave by Jennifer Donnelly. I also picked up several books by Cecelia Ahern whom, I've not read before but can't wait to, as she was recommended to me by a friend. Then I graciously won In your dreams by Ginger Scott- the fourth novel in her this is falling series which by the way is really good and adorable, not to mention relatable! I have to remember to review her this is falling series for you once I finish her latest book- which is now available!

HEY everyone!!

Do you have a goodreads account?? I have won THREE ARC paperback books so far, one signed and personalized just for me. I started out on goodreads years ago but didn't use it much. This year i learned you could enter giveaways and entered a ton of them. Two days after that i won my first goodreads giveaway- the wedding girl.  So yes you can actually win books even if thousands of people enter! I won Wedding Girl by Stacey Ballis. I saw the description and thought it sounded fairly good so I entered to win and I did! I should've gotten it in four to six weeks but got it in about 2 weeks or less!  It's about a girls whose life is falling apart and her wedding was canceled and eventually she starts wedding planning online. I'm not sure if it's a romance but it sounds like an interesting read to me. Putting your life back together after a major event is never easy- I know, so it could be interesting to see how the main character handles that.

So in other words, go to goodreads.com now and go to giveways and read about the different books and enter to win the ones that stand out to you! You can even search the giveaways by genre or when they end or by the most popular! Pretty neat and you may just win something awesome that you fall in love with! CHEERS to free books! mermaids anyone???

Hey bookish friends! 

Ready for the mermaids!? I went to the library and picked up Deep blue by Jennifer Donnelly when I got the red queen and I finished it this week. Firstly it wasn't what I expected. It was good and I was intrigued but It wasn't GREAT for me personally. I have a theory That her crown price is also Blu, and Neela's brother is also Grigio. I can't say for sure because I haven't read Rogue Wave yet which is the sequel but I'll be looking for it today at the library.  now this book had some interesting plot areas and it's definitely different, I just personally wasn't wowed. The ending is a cliff hanger and is better than the rest of the book in my opinion. Then again this book is written for a younger audience and so in that aspect I think it's great for 7th graders. I'm 23 so I would have enjoyed more complex relationships and characters. But for the age group it's written it's great. Although it takes some getting used to all the new vocab. You really have to read between the lines to know what they are talking about in some places because she doesn't explain each name or new vocab she added into this world under the sea. I do plan to read the next book though because I want to see if my theory is correct and that's the biggest mystery to me. I believe the rest of the plot seems pretty easy to guess, The five girls attempt to stop Abbadon without the sixth girl run into some trouble and eventually the sixth girl joins them and they defeat Abbadon. But if you have teenage girls or preteens that love the read or love mermaids, they may really enjoy this book.

the red Queen by Victoria Aveyard

Let me start by saying READ THIS BOOK NOW!!!!!

OK now that we got that out of the way...So I picked up The red queen by Victoria Aveyard at my library, I had heard it was amazing and everything right off the bat but, didn't buy it because I was low on money and didn't want to waste it on a book I might not like. I didn't get it from the library until now because it was always checked out. So I start reading it and I kept thinking it would be like Prodigy or The selection But was really pleasantly surprised to find it had it's own course to lead. I was invested in the characters, it made my cry a little because of the main characters loses someone they love. I was so engrossed in the plot and needing answers and at times wanting to scream at the main character to stop doing this!!! I was SOOOOOO good! I mean usually books don't surprise me and I see the majority of the twists coming. I DID NOT SEE THESE TWISTS COMING!!! It was fantastical! I loved the entire book, beginning to end. The main character reminds me a little of Katniss from the hunger games trilogy, which by the way is another must read. Now this book is a young adult novel and although I've been a huge fan of YA in the past as I get older I want older situations in my books BUT The red queen is honestly great for all ages! I can not tell you how impressed I was with this book and Victoria's writing. I had a hard time falling asleep last night thinking about this book and where the series would lead. It's one of those books you get pissed at yourself for reading it before all the books are out because you have to wait a year for the next book. The red queen seriously deserves all the nominations, wins, e-mails, and posts about it. Every time I saw someone talk about how great it was I didn't think much of it because they said Gone girl was amazing too and i HATED that book, but the red queen deserves all the talk!!  I loved it so much that when I went to the store to pick up some butternut squash I just had to stop in the books section and found a first edition signed copy of her brand new just released this month sequel the glass sword and I can not wait to read it! Of course I bought it because it was the only signed copy and I know how hard they can be to get a hold of and it was on sale for cheaper than buying an unsigned copy on amazon and having to pay and wait for shipping. I also of course have pictures to share with you and a quote from the red queen.
